planting tulip bulbs

Lily asks us almost daily when the tulips will come up.  She was a great helper.

Y aqui esta

Life is easier with an organized mudroom!  Besides baskets for the cubbies we are done.  Brian did great modifying the project continually as we went along and for 0 skills, we are happy with the result.

Happy Birthday to Nate!

Gotta love this boy.  He had a fun day and was mostly excited about the green transformer called "bulkhead" given to him by his sisters.

mudroom

Here's a before picture of our mudroom.  We had the wall pushed out a couple feet so that we could put in lockers.  After much planning and debating, we decided we would save a lot of money building them ourselves.  So this week Brian took on his very first LARGE house project.  So far we have the materials and three boards partly stained.  I don't how long it will take but eventually we hope to post an after pictures.  Winter is coming.....so we need to hurry.

Three year olds are the best

Lily learned to ride her bike this fall and she is soooo happy.  I love this age.  She is so excited about doing things herself.  She puts together her own outfits, loves singing to primary songs in the  car, and asks me if she can ride her bike everyday.

Look at me! I'm grilling!

Our last grill didn't make it into the POD when we moved, so when got a permanent house Brian really wanted another grill.  We bought one and Brian made the best brined chicken.  So asked him to teach me how to grill so I can make it too!  Yea for my new skill.  Batch cooking grilled chicken is my new favorite hobby.  Dinner tastes so much better!

Camping at Jack's Gulch

Last month Brian took Nathan to the ward's father/son campout at Jack's gulch.  Nathan loves these outings so much.  Being the only boy has its advantages sometimes.  Us girls stayed home for "girls night" and watched the american girl movie Molly and then went to Hobby Lobby in the morning for craft supplies.  Annelise had a fun weekend, but said, "Next time  our whole family should go camping."

modeling for grandma

Here are the kids modeling their new outfits from Grandma. Nathan used to hate wearing ties to church, but now he seems to love them.  Annelise was happy to have a dress long enough-she seems to only grow taller and never wider.  And Lily was very happy to have a dress with purple and ladybugs on it.  Anything pink and purple in her world makes her happy.

lousy posts

So I'm looking at my last few posts on this blog and I took the pictures with my phone.  Sorry people.  Big mistake.  I will stick with a camera from now on.  In my defense, I've been busy this past year moving and then moving and then trying to settle down and establish a normal routine for our family.  We love it here in our new home and hopefully I'll get some pics up soon of what we've been up to.

Happy birthday Annelise!

Happy birthday to the greatest seven year old I know! I think sprinkles on ice cream sandwiches might be the best birthday treat in July ever created.

Spray Park at Spring Canyon park-this park is so beautiful.  We went on Annelise's birthday and got there at 7:45 am.  It was perfect since the temp was still cool and no one was there yet, so  I wasn't worried about losing anyone at the huge park and the mountains made it so pretty.  They all had a blast playing at the park and then the spray park when it opened.

Welcome home Sean!

Waiting for Sean to get off his plane.  Kaili made him this huge sign.
Nathan with his great grandpa Robison.

Lily loving Gpa.
Welcome home Sean!

This pictures sums up Annelise for the next few hours.  She must have sat on Sean's lap for at least a few hours after he got home.  She definitely remembered how much she likes Sean even after two years.

Daybreak splash park

I just love the color and quality of these pictures taken by my mom.

Even Toffee came along for the fun.

Kaili's hairdos

We found out the first Sunday we were in Utah that Kaili has a talent for doing cute hairstyles. Here's what she came up with for Lily and Annelise.

And Adi got her first hairstyle too.  The top of the head tiny baby ponytail.  Nathan just went to church with his usual untameable hairstyle.

Gardener Village

There was a farmer's market going on when we went to Gardener Village to ride the ponies.  So in addition to our riding the ponies we got to see some other fun stuff.

Adi loving Aaron again.

There was  a small petting zoo.

Riding the turkey.

After Gardener Village Gpa took everyone to McDonalds for slushies.  Extra bonus was getting Uncle Aaron to play in the playplace with us.

Double extra bonus is getting air lifted by Uncle Aaron and Aunt Rachel.

Bingham Canyon copper mine

No one remembered going to the copper mine a few years ago, so we took the kids to see the giant copper mine.  Gotta love the gigantic tires and trucks.
